A press conference took place with spiker Daniele Mengozzi, last in Motta di Livenza, and outside hitter Goran Maric (1981, last seen at Città di Castello) who scored 3200 points in the Serie A. The last two signings of the club put pen to paper after the deadline and could therefore not play the first three rounds.
“I am thrilled to be here in such an ambitious club – said Mengozzi – This is a well-organised club in which I feel there are the ideal conditions to be at my best. I felt at ease from the first day I got here and my teammates immediately made me feel part of the team”.
Goran Maric: “We have received an exceptional welcome. We have a big margin for improvement and the positive rivalry inside the team will bring the group to a higher level. I can’t wait to play and feel the kind of atmosphere there was in the first home game, the fans really helped us to win it”. The second home game will be on November 21.
