In its last test before the league debut against Verona, coach Castellani’s men offered a lively performance that led to a 3-1 victory. Perugia has all its stars finally available and the potential is clearly huge. However, Atanasijevic was cautiously rested after the first set. Meanwhile, the Argentine setter Luciano De Cecco delighted the fans with some brilliant plays and his players with beautiful assists. And the spikers loved it, Russell finished top scorer with 21 points, Kaliberda added 16 and Fromm chipped in 10 in two sets with 64% in attack. All three of them made plays right out of the top drawer. The rest of the squad played well too which will bring confidence to the group ahead of its SuperLega debut.
