Verona announced its third signing of the off-season. After Starovic and Baranowicz, spiker Uros Kovacevic signed a two-year deal with the team of coach Giani. The Serbian star played the last three years for Modena, where he tallied 67 appearances and 411 points. Born in 1993, the lefty helped his former club win the Italian cup last season. Before that, he made the league-cup double twice in Slovenia with Volley Ljubljana. At international level, he won the gold medal at the European Championships 2011 at a very young age.

“I am thrilled, I heard a lot of good about the club – said Kovacevic – My brother Nikola has great memories from his spell in Verona (end of 2013-14). Besides, Giani is a well-prepared coach and a great man. We’ll have a marvellous team, strong and well-balanced. We can definitely aim high”.
