Home talents speak Venetian dialect

Everybody knows the Padova 2014-15 is one of the youngest in the Serie A with an average of 25-years of age. But maybe not many know that this is the team with the most athletes from its region (8) and the most players born in the city the club represents (5). “We speak in Venetian in the changing room – said libero Fabio Balaso – And the other teammates, even the foreigners, have learned to understand and answer in our dialect. Captain Mattia Rosso has become one of us, and indeed it’s quite strange to have a changing room in which you don’t speak English but the language from Padova”.
