Reggio was defeated 3-1 in its friendly game against the SuperLega team of Verona. However, the players played a good game staying close in every set, which will give them a good dose of confidence as we’re just ten days away from the start of the season (first one home against Tuscania on October 25). Among the best performers there was the Australian Thomas Douglas-Powell with 12 points, Ludovico Dolfo with 10 and Leano Cetrullo with 9.

“We played quality volleyball against a team from the division above – confirmed coach Cantagalli – I liked the attitude of the boys. We could have avoided a couple of silly mistakes, with a bit more focus we could have taken one more set. But overall I am satisfied, even if I see we still have big margin for improvement. We still have a long way to go as far as learning to play together is concerned but that’s normal when you have so many new players”.
