In its second friendly game, which was played at home again, Ravenna obtained a 2-2 draw against Potenza, team that had won the Serie A2 last season. The hosts were without Torres, who’s on international duty, and Della Lunga injured, but had Alberto Polo for the first time. As for Potenza, good performances from the young Italian internationals Cavuto and Pierotti. Cavuto took the bronze in the World Championships Under 23 with Ravenna’s Ricci and Polo, while Pierotti played well in the World Championships Under 21 alongside Polo. Potenza was without their starting outside hitter Moretti.

“There was two different phases in this game – said assistant coach Giuseppe Patriarca – We mixed good things with moments filled with mistakes. We lacked consistency in crucial moment of the game. But we faced a good team, which won the A2 league last season, and I’m sure they’ll do well this season again”.
