It might have been only a friendly but the waiting had been so long… But now the patience has been rewarded with an exciting 3-0 win over the Castellana Grotte team coached by Flavio Gulinelli (24-14, 25-18, 27-25). Molfetta’s starting six was: Hierrezuelo-Hernandez, middle blockers Barone and Candellaro, spikers Randazzo e Del Vecchio, libero De Pandis. Hernandez shined with 11 points in just two sets (3 aces, 2 blocks, 86% in attack) and he looked like an additional leader on court. Randazzo and Fedrizzi had excellent games too, scoring 14 and 13 respectively.
“Extremely positive feeling in spite of being our first game together – said De Pandis – It’s really been a good test. Today in that small gym, there were over 400 fans, I can’t wait to play in the new PalaPoli arena. The atmosphere is going to be something special”.
