Strong outside hitter Mitar Djuric committed his future to the club by putting pen to paper on a two-year deal. The strong hitman, who is also excellent on the serve and as a blocker, has helped Trento to seven trophies in two years. He tallied 94 appearances for a total of 806 points, 119 of them being scored in the last 9 playoffs games that led to the league title over Modena.
“I received various offers but my first option was always going to be Trento – said the Greek international – I’ve always felt at home, one of the guys here, so I really wanted to stay. Coming back to win another title, but in a different role (he was previously used as middle blocker) was extremely exciting and beautiful. There are feelings I kept with me until I signed this new contract. We have achieved something special and we want to do it again. We’ll be back on court from October and our goal will once again be to win”.
