In the match against Sora, second in the league, the Matera players appeared more determined and solid than in recent games. Without spiker Matej Cernic (knee), Mastrangelo’s men did play some good volleyball but still had to surrender to Sora (1-3), who not only had their full squad but also their new signing Cala.
“I am proud of my team because in spite of being without Matej Cernic, a player I consider impossible to substitute, and having captain Suglia not hundred percent, we maintained a level of play which I think is very close to the top teams of this league” said coach Mastrangelo.
