Volleyball can be cruel at times! It’s not enough to get more points overall than your opponent, have better percentages or dominate at the net, what matters in volleyball are the set won. Tuscania built a 2-1 lead on the road over Castellana Grotte but eventually had to surrender at the tie-break.
“The result is the only down side of a game in which Tuscania played good volleyball and made it very hard for the opposition – said coach Paolo Tofoli – We literally got them dizzy in the first set but were punished in the second for failing to seal it when we were 25-24 up. We got back ahead on the scoreboard but lacked conviction to finish the job off”.
