Potenza Picena made the dream come true by winning in Corigliano the game 4 of the final series they won 3-1. Potenza will therefore play in the SuperLega UnipolSai 2015-16. That was another terrific team display that led them there. The series had not begun well for them though, losing game 1 at home, but they bounced back in style by taking three consecutive encounters. Only in their third season in the Serie A2, this is an unbelievable achievement. A breakthrough that nobody would have dared dreaming of at the start of the season but which became a real possibility when they reached the Italian Cup final A2, lost at the death against Vibo Valentia. On their way to this huge triumph, Casoli and co disposed of Vibo in the quarter-finals (2-0), then Sora in a tough semi-final series (3-2).

Cristian Casoli (B-Chem Potenza Picena): “This was the hardest game of the series. Corigliano played excellent volleyball but we never give up and we proved it again tonight. We believed in our chances and we made the breakthrough in the fourth set. Congratulations to all the boys. At the start of the season, nobody would have thought we’d be celebrating promotion with this group, but I definitely expected to finish in the top 8. I want to thank the club, the medical staff and coaching staff who made sure we were at our best arriving in the playoffs”.
