Playoffs final game 4

Parmareggio Modena – Energy T.I. Diatec Trentino

(1-2)

At noon on Sunday, Trento took game 3 in front of a full house. The hosts dominated Modena in straight sets and went 2-1 up in the series, needing just one more win to celebrate their fourth league title after the ones won in 2008, 2011 and 2013. Modena was left bitter in spite of giving it a good fight. They indeed led twice, 18-14 in the first set and 8-5 in the third, but could not hold on to their lead. Trento built its victory around 12 blocks, 8 aces, a tenacious dig and a daring touch of its coach who sent Giannelli on from the get-go. A winning decision as the setter was perfect. He even registered 3 blocks and 1 ace and was named MVP of the game. So far both teams have prevailed on home soil and Modena will try to keep this trend going to have a chance to battle for its 12th league title in game 5 on Sunday.
