Before the start of the game, the Modena players wanted to share the joy of the Italian Cup triumph with their fans. They went for a lap of the court with the trophy and received a standing ovation from the 2800 supporters present for this league game against Padova. That was the 36th trophy for volleyball city.
As for the game, Nemanja Petric was named MVP as he led his team to a sweep. Thanks to this win, Modena takes a 3 point lead at the top of the table but Trento could go level if they take three points on Sunday.
