Packed afternoon for Mauro Berruto, coach of the Italian national team. He first released various interviews before assisting to the Piacenza training session. Italy’s head coach is currently visiting all the SuperLega teams in order to chat with coaching staffs and athletes.
Berruto also gave his views on the difficult moment Piacenza is going through: “Assessments can only be done at the end of the season. This is one of the good sides of sport: you sometimes expect results which don’t’ always come. There can be a lot of surprises, and when you go through complicated situations you sometimes find resources you’d never have expected. Piacenza has a history which is much stronger than this period of crisis. And their players still have a lot to say. Now the club must focus on this next important and fascinating Champions League tie. I hope for Piacenza and Italian volleyball that the club will soon obtain excellent results again”.
