Tuscania gave it a good fight to make it hard for the league leaders of Ortona but once again bad luck was in the way. In the second set, Buzzelli scored to make it 15-12 but fell down awkwardly and injured his knee. Ortona would come back in the set and win it. Still, Tuscania fought back in the third set before losing the game in the fourth.
“I am really sorry for Buzzelli – said coach Tofoli – I really hope the medical test will rule out anything too serious. As for the game, if we had not had our problems it might have been a different match, but there’s no second chance. Still, I am satisfied with the performance and the character the players showed. Ortona is a great club, I wish them all the best in the playoffs”.
