Verona lost the first set in its friendly in Padova but fought back to win the following three and take the game. The first two sets won were a battle till the end with a Savani ace making it 28-16 to tie it at 1-1 and Savani again doing the job at the end of the third with the help of a Padova court invasion. De Cecco’s men then dominated the last set to win the game.
