Slovenia, the Netherland and Spain are the nations in which three Verona players compete: Mitja Gasparini, Thijs Ter Horst and Juan Manuel Gonzalez. They’re all involved in the second phase of the European Championships qualification. Slovenia finished second of its group behind Poland and in front of Macedonia and Latvia. They will now meet the second of Group B, Portugal. Gasparini stood out with 4 aces against Macedonia and 17 points against Latvia.
Holland was drawn with Croatia, Romania and Montenegro. They finished second as Ter Horst did a good job. The Orange will meet the second of Group D, Spain.
