Three youngsters promoted to Serie A1: Giannelli, Mazzone and Nelli

Three youngsters have been promoted to the Trentino first team: setter Simone Giannelli, outside hitter Gabriele Nelli and spiker Tiziano Mazzone. All three of them had begun to train with the first squad at the end of last season and been rewarded with an appearance in an official game. While Giannelli will have the tough task to come straight in as Zygadlo’s back-up in a delicate role that is the setter, Nelli will try to use the experience he gathered from his year in the Trentino B1 team and the three games as starter he played with the first squad against Modena, Belgorod and Piacenza in March. Mazzone is not as known as the two others but had the most prestigious start of all under the Trentino shirt as he took part in the World Club Championships last season, making his debut against Esperance Tunis.
