Daniele Ricci was appointed as new head coach for the coming season. The coach from Ravenna is extremely experienced as he has been in the Serie A ever since the 1984-85 season. He won promotion into the A1 with Ravenna in 88, then he won a league title, 3 Champions League, one Italian Cup, two Super European Cups, a World Club Championships and a Cev Cup. He also coached abroad in Greece, leading Olympiacos to a league and cup triumph. Two more promotions from the A2 to the A1 in Italy for him: first with Vibo in 2004 and then Milan in 2007. In recent years he coached Segrate and Sora.

“Corigliano gave me an good opportunity to come back to coaching in the Calabria region, where I had an extremely positive experience with Vibo – explained coach Ricci – I am thrilled to be back in the south. Corigliano has an important history, I think this is a consolidated club in the Italian Serie A, they have always proved to be serious on and off the court. And they have an experienced sport director like Pino de Patto. Having an “old-fashioned” sport director thinking like me I think is another interesting aspect with a positive potential”.
