Città di Castello and Vibo Valentia had the same stats in every area of the game: same number of points (83), same number of blocks (16) but what stood out from the encounter what the capacity of Radici’s men to come back from behind. It had already happened against Modena and Macerata and now Città di Castello did it to Vibo, they came back from 2-0 down. In fact, Trento is the only team to have won a tie-break against Castello.
“Yesterday’s fifth set was handled well once again – said coach Radici – Four tie-breaks won out of five is a reward for a team who has its consistency as its main strength. Our team has rarely played any set without being focused at all, this is something we have to continue doing and even improve on. We often play against teams that have better physical and technical resources so our volleyball is based on minimizing mistakes, especially on the serve but in attack too”.
