The latest addition to Piacenza’s roster comes from Città di Castello, where Jiacopo Massari spent the last two years. But it’s a come-back for Massari, who, after making its first steps at Parma, came up in Piacenza where he made his debut in the Serie C in 2007-08. He already collected a couple of appearances in the first team that year but it’s in 2009-10 that he would make the breakthrough in the elite. In 2012-13, he helped Città di Castello to promotion in the A1 with a memorable season of 20 wins and only 2 losses.

“I am thrilled to come back to my second home – he said – This is where it all began. I am also very excited to reunite with old teammates like Zlatanov and Tencati who really helped me so much in three years, they have been a great influence both as sports men and human being. I am also glad to meet up again with coach Radici, I owe him a lot and I have made many experiences with him”.
