Perugia announced the signing of Thomas Beretta. The strong and powerful middle blocker (205cm) came up in Treviso’s youth ranks (league title U18) while he played last season for Modena. He finished sixth in the blocking category last season with 69. He is currently in Berruto’s group of players involved with the Italian National Team in the World League.
“Despite the fact he is very tall, Beretta moves very well at the net – said coach Grbic – I think he has a big margin for improvement. I hope he will be the revelation of the year”.
