Just like the other “veteran” Italian international, Simone Parodi has been on a well-deserved two-week vacation. A break was needed after a tough long season that ended with the league title with Macerata and four wins in the World League, two against Brazil and two over Poland. But it’s now time to go back to work ahead of another clash against Brazil.
“Coming back after a two-week holiday is never easy – said Parodi – But we’ve immediately started to work hard to be ready because we want to win those two home games against Brazil. These are always fascinating encounters, this time the pressure is more on their side given that they run the risk of not qualifying for the finals in Florence, but we want to give it our best shot in front of a sold-out crowd”. During his time out, Parodi also kept an eye on the moves Macerata made on the market, the latest being the signing of Alessandro Fei. “This is class and experience guaranteed – said Parodi – Factors that will be key, especially on the international scene”.
