Padova announced the signing of Gonzalo Quiroga. Born in 1993, the Argentine is the nephew of legendary Raul Quiroga, who won many trophies with Modena, Montichiari and Treviso, and the brother of Rodrigo Daniel who played in Italy from 2006 to 2012 in Bassano, Catania, Cavriago, Vibo Valentia and Ravenna. Gonzalo arrived straight from the United states where he played for the UCLA Bruins university in the last three years. In the Argentine national team junior, he won the South American Championships in 2008 and finished third in the world Championships in 2009 in Italy.

“Playing in Italy has always been a dream of mine and I want to thank Padova for this opportunity to play in one of the best leagues in the world – said Quiroga – I hope we will have a lot of fun. My personal strengths are the serve and reception, but I can adapt to various situations according to the needs of the team”.
