Luigi Randazzo, one of the most promising youngster in Italy, will wear the Città di Castello shirt this season. Owned by the Italian champions of Macerata, he arrives on loan to strengthen the department of spikers of coach Montagnani. Many were the candidates eager to take on board the talented Sicilian but Castello prevailed. The 20-year-old can already boasts 38 appearances in the Serie A1 between Macerata in 2012-13 and Vibo Valentia last season, and a total of 219 points. Luigi was part of the Italian national team juniors before being called this summer among the 25 players selected for the World League. He has already played a few games during the group phase, proving he has everything it takes to wear the Italian shirt many more times in the future.

“I decided to play for Castello because this is a good team, and first of all a serious club – said Randazzo – They have taken an excellent coach in Montagnani, who will give me the possibility to play another season as a starter in the A1. I really want to thank them for this opportunity, my choice was a very easy one”.
