The road to the Italian cup final four began two years ago with coach Kovac and captain Vujevic. The two Serbians, who won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney, arrived in Perugia in 2011-12 and wrote the history of the club.
“Having reached the final four is already a fantastic result, for us, for the club and the city of Perugia” said coach Kovac.
“What can I say?, useless to say it will be tough against Macerata – said captain Vujevic – This is the strongest opponent possible. But we have worked and played well of late. Maybe we haven’t much to lose, but we’re keen to have our say on court”.
