Potenza Picena conceded its first away defeat in Corigliano (3-0) and lost its top spot in the table. A bit of a revenge for Corigliano who had been knocked out of the playoffs in the 8th of finals by Potenza last season.
“I am really disappointed we did not even take a set despite the fact it was very tight – said middle blocker Alberto Polo – Shame we lost the third, we were four ahead and just three points away but couldn’t seal it. That was a great opportunity wasted. We played face to face with the home team but I know I can do better and I know my teammates can do better too”.
