Potenza conceded its first defeat of the pre-season at home against Città di Castello (A1). Swept after three sets, they earned a consolation in the extra set played. Corvetta and co came in Potenza eager to bounce back from the 4-1 loss against that same Potenza side a week ago. Unlucky start for Diamantini, who’s coming off a hand injury and was not hundred percent fit. He did do fine in attack with 67% but did not have the influence he would have liked in the blocking. It was on the other hand the blocks of Mazzone for Castello which made the difference. Next is a match-up with the Italian champions on Saturday in Castelferretti, a game for charity in favour of the Ylenia Morsucci association.
