Hard-working days for the Block Devils ahead of the cup final four to take place this weekend. This will be the first ever participation for Perugia but some of its players have already got to this stage of the competition. Barone and Buti have done it with Vibo last year, Paolucci and Semenzato went that far with Roma in different years, while Vujevic did it in his first years at Latina. But two players went further than the final four. Andrea Giovi and Della Lunga won it.
“I remember well the final in Rome – said Della Lunga – Macerata was 2-0 ahead before Trento won it 3-2. Except for the defeat in Piacenza, we have had a fantastic run in the return games so we arrive there full of confidence. Then, we know for well that we’ll have the favorite in front of us in the semis. This will be an extremely difficult game, much tougher than the one in the league, in which we had managed to snatch victory”.
