Milan brought in a second player as they build the roster that will take part in the A1 Superlega. After the promising libero Marco Rizzo, in comes Giorgio De Togni. Born in 1985 in Ferrara, the middle blocker played last season at Cuneo. De Togni made it into the A1 at the young age of 16, in he played for three seasons at Treviso between 2009 and 2011 after a year in Mantova (A2) and 3 in Padova. De Togni won the Mediterranean games in 2009, the Cev Cup in 2011. He played 268 games in the Serie A, scoring 1502 points, of which 882 in attack and 353 blocks.
“At the start, my agent told me about Milan’s ambition, its intention to bring the club at the top in a few years – explained De Togni – Then he called Giordano (Mattera, milan player) who I played with at Padova. In the meantime, there was no news on Cuneo’s future, we now know how that ended up.
