Corigliano’s second addition to the squad is spiker Romolo Mariano. After outside hitter Banderò, the club brought in a player for position 4. In the past two years, Mariano played in the Swiss top division at En Gas&Oil Lugano, same team where Corigliano picked its new outside hitter. Mariano had previously come up in the Olimpia Pallavolo in Serie B1, where he stayed five years (with a brief spell at Cantù) before moving abroad.

“I am joining Corigliano with the motivation to keep improving all the time – said Mariano – I am aiming to help the team with good performances to reach the targets of the club. Hopefully, this will be a positive season. I have always heard a lot about coach Ricci, he did extremely well in recent seasons. I think being coached by such an experienced coach is a big advantage for the team as well as all the players willing to improve”.
