Video Check in the World League
The Video Check will star at the World League. It will make its debut today in Trieste for Italy versus Iran, as well as in Nis with Serbia against Russia. The Italian Volleyball League in collaboration with the Italian Federation, sent a machine to Belgrade for the instant replay. It will remain at the disposal of the Serbian Federation for all the home encounters of the team guided by captain Dragan Stankovic.
The Video Check will cover all the games of Mauro Berruto’s Italian team as well as the final in Florence.
Iran too bought a Video Check system, which will make its debut on June 13, for the game between Iran and Brazil, while the USA rented the Italian technology to use it from June 6 when the United States take on Russia.
All in all, four teams chose to rely on the Video Check System.
“The Champions League finals in Baku and Ankara as well as our Serie A1 seen in dozens of foreign countries sparked the interest of many federations for the Video Check System. In collaboration with the FIPAV and the CEV vice-president Renato Arena, we have taken an interesting path that led us to a world class event like the World League. Others are contacting us: we received an email from Thailand yesterday. Our Made in Italy is very much appreciated”.
