Playoffs 8th of finals
We now know the name of the first team to go up in the A1: Padova. The other team to join the regular season winner will come out of the playoffs which start now with the preliminary round (8th of finals).
B-Chem Potenza Picena – Caffè Aiello Corigliano. Both teams had a tough second half of season. The playoffs represent a chance to reset it all. On its first experience in the post season, Potenza will try to interrupt a five game losing streak. Corigliano have not done any better: they ended the season with 8 negative results. This should be a tight affair considering that each team won a game in the regular season.
Materdominivolley.it Castellana Grotte – Elettrosud Brolo. Castellana Grotte has got the momentum going for them. Fanizza and co had a great second half of season with 6 positive results in the last six encounters, with a win over fourth place Matera to finish. They collected twice as many points as in the first half of season (17-8) and were very close to finish seventh and directly qualify for the quarter-finals. In this first game, they will host Brolo, who finished bottom although they celebrated their first win of the season in the last round.
