Latina wins and qualifies for the semi-finals

Latina will be in a European Cup semi-final for the second year running. The Italians swept Calcit Kamnik 3-0 thanks to some excellent serving which created havocs in the opposite reception. Latina will meet the winner of BBSK Istanbul (Turkey) versus Asse Lennik (Belgium). The Belgium side won the first leg at the tie-break, while the return leg will be played tomorrow.
Gianrio Falivene (President Andreoli Latina): “Now things will start to get tougher. Hopefully, what Turkey took away from us last year, it will give back this season”.
Pieter Verhees (Andreoli Latina): “We hit the serve hard from the start. We knew what was their weaknesses and we managed to take advantage. This is our second semi-final, this is great publicity for Latina. I hope to meet my former team, Lennik.
