Perugia signed setter Luciano De Cecco and made it a dream partnership for the coming season with outside hitter Atanasijevic. The 26-year-old Argentine already knows the Italian league very well. He played for Montichiari, Latina, Monza and spent the last two seasons at Piacenza, where he won the Italian Cup (at the expense of Perugia in the final) and a Challenge Cup.
“In the many games against Piacenza this season, we have been able to admire a great setter, a great player and hopefully he will do as well with us – said an extremely satisfied President Sirci – This season, Kovac did a brilliant job in alternating the two setters but with Luciano De Cecco, a true champion, we hope to give more stability, class and fantasy to the team”.
