Ravenna’s team is getting younger and younger and more and more Brazilian. After the addition of outside hitter Renan Buiatti, the club announced the three-young deal agreed with Enrico Guarienti Zappoli. Born in May 1995 in Porto Alegre, the spiker receiver received the MVP award of the last South American Pre-juniors Championships. Zappoli played last season in the Brazilian Superliga with Canoas.
“This is a very interesting yougnster – said GM Beppe Cormio – He has evident qualities in attack and reception. His father was a player and now he’s an agent, I had called Enrico in Trento three years ago with the idea to register him and make him play as Italian. But then he decided to go back to Brazil, but once he was open to play in Italy I did not lose time, and already in April I invited him to come to get to know Ravenna and train with the team for a week”.
