In the new “Ciccioli” gym of Foligno, Città di Castello defeated Ortona 3-2. Thanks to two consecutive points from Sartoretti, Città di Castello got off to the better start in the tie-break (4-1). Rossi added to it (6-2) but a come-back from Ortona forced Radici to take a time-out (6-6). The game stayed tied until 11 apiece, but then a spike and a block from Rossi got Castello the edge (13-11). A mistake on the serve from Galliani and a Massari point did the rest.
