Blengini’s boys came back victorious from their trip to Avellino for the second Giancarlo Imbimbo memorial. They had the better of Latina 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-21) in the final, while they had got rid of Avellino in the semi-final.
“These were two important games for us because we have been able to line-up libero Plot for the first time – said assistant coach Antonio Valentini – We still had an unusual team as Cisolla was out, substituted by Villena in a position that is not his.
