No less than three Città di Castello players have been called to take part in the European Championships in Danmark and Poland: Matteo Piano (Italy), Christian Fromm (Germany) and Van Walle (Belgium). Italy recently played two friendlies with Germany, both lost (3-2 and 3-0).
“It all begins in two days, I am so excited, this is a great event – said Piano – We have worked very hard, I really hope things will go fine”.
“I am thrilled to be able to play in a European Championships – said Fromm – This is my first big competition, no matter what happens this will be a great moment, we will face top quality teams. Our target is to get a medal but we know how difficult that’s going to be”.
