Stats of an impressive season

Despite Molfetta’s promotion, Padova realised an excellent season. Seventh at the end of the regular season, they made two consecutive breakthroughs in the playoffs by knocking out stronger teams like Atripalda and Sora, both in the deciding game 5 away from home (according to the formula the opponent began the series with a 1-0 lead given to them for their better standings in the table).
As for the stats: Padova had 46% in attack during the season, in reception 24% of positive in the first half of season and 31% in the second. Blocking efficiency improved as the season wore on too, from 6 to 16%, and the serve as well, from 36% to 42%. Nobody played more games or sets than Padova this season (34 games and 129 sets). Finally, Padova was the best team in attack with 50,5% in front of Città di Castello (49,5%).
