The players are now prepaing Saturday’s game against Verona following last Sunday’s win in the debry over Perugia. A win would greatly boost the chance of the club to take part in the playoffs.
“We really needed to turn things around – said spiker Goran Maric – It’s never easy to win after four consecutive defeats. It’s been a tough but deserved victory. It’s the start of a new season for us. Saturday’s game might be Verona’s last chance to get into the playoffs, they will definitely make it hard for us. We’ll try to impose our game, our physical advantage and we’ll need to limit our mistakes to the minimum, especially on the serve”.
