Playing good volleyball for most of the game was not even enough to take a set which the team would have deserved in Macerata, especially in the third set when it led 12-7.
“We played good volleyball even if at times we did not totally loosen up – explained setter Manuele Marchiani – Macerata puts such a pressure on you, both physically, at the net and on the serve, and mentally. They are technically and physically stronger than us and many others, but with a little more composure we could have won a set”.
