Spiker Jiri Kovar took advantage of the two-days rest given by the national team to pass by and say hello to his teammates at the end of training in Macerata.
“The preparation to the European championships with Italy is going fine – he said – And I think you could see that in the two friendlies against Slovakia. Russia will be the favourite but in such competition you cannot underestimate anyone. As for Italy, we’ll try to play our best volley and go as far as possible. As far as Macerata is concerned, I think the new team is excellent, a team put together to win. I think Piacenza and ourselves can be considered one step above the rest but then the games have to be won on court, and it’s never easy”.
