Verona was on the road in Modena for a friendly game and despite the 3-1 loss it showed some good volleyball making it difficult for the hosts in each of the three sets, which all ended with the minimum margin. This was the first encounter with the full squad as White made his debut as Verona player.
“It’s been three enjoyable sets – said coach Giani – In my opinion, we showed quality considering we trained all together only in the past three days. There is a good basis to work with. In order to give such a hard time to Modena, you need quality, otherwise you just can’t do it”.
