In the PalaOlimpia arena, Verona was defeated by the guests of Ljubljana 2-1. This was the first opportunity to see Slovenian outside hitter Gasparini in action and this marked the return of coach Giani from the European Championships. Verona played some good volleyball against the Slovenians who will take part in the Champions League this coming season.

“We’re still missing three players so we’re still far from the team we’ll see playing on court – explained coach Giani – But in my opinion, the young players have made a lot of progress”.
