Trentino has all its spikers. Born in 1988, Antonio De Paola is back in the club where he came up after four years in the A2. This means 3 out of the 4 spikers have learned the game in Trentino’s youth ranks, starting with Fedrizzi and Lanza. De Paola had made it into Trento’s first team in 2006-07 under Radames Lattari’s orders and he was part of the squad that won that historical Champions League in 2009. Among his main achievements, there is also an Under 18 title, which was the first ever title in Italy for Trentino Volley.
“It’s an honour for me to know that Trentino thought about me for this new era in the club – said Antonio De Paola – I will use all the experience gathered in those years in the A2. I know it’s a whole different game compared to what it was in 2009 but I have definitely improved in many areas of the game”.
