Del Monte Super Cup
The PalaTrento arena will open its doors on October 9 for the first big event of the new season: the 18th edition of the Del Monte Super Cup, event organized by the Italian Volleyball League and Trentino Volley. The latter, the Italian champions as well as cup holders, will take on Macerata, cup finalist in 2012.
Following the exciting 2012 edition played in Modena, Trento and Macerata are ready to get the show starting again, with a summer market that has altered the team’s assets but not their ambition. Trento will look to add to its 2011 triumph while Macerata will go for its fourth, which would be the second in a row, after lifting the trophy in 2006, 2008 and 2012.
The event will once again be played on the Mondo tricolour court, symbol of the Italian Volleyball League. The Mikasa MVA 200 will be carefully tracked by the Video Check System, used officially for the first time in this competition after the tests carried out last season in Modena.
