New schedule, cup in March
A new planning for the upcoming season was defined at the end of a meeting at the Italian Volleyball League offices. It had also been considered to anticipate the first round of the championship due to the fact the Italian U23 failed to qualify for the World Championships in Brazil, but the club decided that would have been too much reorganizing to do. On the other hand, some rounds have been modified and the Cup was postponed (originally on January 11-12) to give more rest to the International players involved in the qualifications for the World Championships 2014.
Round 11 was moved from December 26 to January 8; round 12 moved to January 12, and round 20 moved forward to February 20.
This means the Del Monte Italian Cup Final Four will be played on March 8-9.
