“Bovo Day”


A day to remember Vigor Bovolenta


 


June the 1st will be a special day, a day to remember a friend and a great champion that passed away far too soon. A day to remember how important was Vigor Bovolenta in the world of volleyball. It will all take place in Piacenza’s PalaBanca which reopens its doors after the league final lost against Trento. This year, the event will go hand in hand with “Life Project” (www.progetto-vita.eu). All in all, a great day of sport and solidarity.  


 


Hristo Zlatanov (Captain Copra Elior Piacenza): “I will take part in this event as a friend of Bovo. I can only thank everyone for the organization of the event and why it was realized: cardio protect the city of Piacenza and give a little support to Federica. I am proud to be part of this project”.

Kids coming from schools of the Piacenza area will learn the first aid methods thanks to “Life Project”.

Sitting volley exhibition, and mini volley and parkvolley tournament.

Exhibition game: “Bovo friends/Phenomenon Generation” versus “Italian national team over 50”. The latter will take part in the World Masters Games in Turin in August.


 


18.00


Friendly game between Italy and France.

CEV Volleyball Champions League 2014


28 teams known


 


The CEV revealed the list of teams that will take part in the Champions League 2014. There will be 28 teams and 15 nations represented. The draw will take place in Vienna again on June 28 at the Uniqa Tower. Five wild card were given: Innsbruck (Austria), Ceske Budejovice (czech Republic), Novosibirsk (Russia – the holders), Lugano (Switzerland) and Galatasaray (Turkey). Swiss champ Lugano and Austrian champ Posojilnica will make their first ever appearance in the competition.
