Semi-finals begin
Funnily enough the semi-final draw is the same one as in 2008-09: Trentino vs Cuneo and Macerata vs Piacenza. The eventual winner was Piacenza, who had triumphed in its first ever league title at the end of a thrilling deciding game 5 against Trento. This year the formula is different, though. Trentino and Macerata will start off with a 1-0 lead thanks to their better regular season position.
